  • Q FAQ(Product & Technical)RTP tape winding production line

    A

Q1: What is the pipe diameter range of your RTP tape winding production line?
The JMGDZ250 model produces RTP pipes with an inner diameter of 100–250 mm, equivalent to 4 to 10 inches.

Q2: What reinforcement materials does the line support?
The machine supports four types of reinforcement materials: glass fiber tape, aramid belt, polyester strip, and steel strip. This allows you to produce pipes with different pressure ratings for various applications.

Q3: What is the production speed and annual output?
Production speed is 2–3 meters per minute. For DN150mm (4 MPa), the annual output is up to 370 km/year. For DN200mm (4 MPa), the annual output is up to 300 km/year.

Q4: What is the maximum pipe length that can be produced on a single coil?
The spoolable pipe length depends on pipe diameter. Our RTP technology can produce continuous lengths suitable for coiling, typically up to several hundred meters per coil, reducing field joints.

Q5: What is the typical working pressure range for pipes produced by this line?
Depending on the reinforcement type and layer design, the RTP pipes can achieve working pressures from 4 MPa up to 32 MPa (or higher based on your specific requirements).

Q6: What standards do your RTP pipes comply with?
Our RTP production line and finished pipes comply with API 15S, ISO 23936, and other applicable industry standards. Certification can be provided upon request.

Q7: Can the line produce pipes with multiple reinforcement layers?
Yes. The line is designed for multi-layer winding configurations. You can combine different reinforcement materials and adjust the number of layers according to pressure requirements.

Q8: How does the automatic control system ensure consistent quality?
The fully automated control system monitors critical parameters including winding tension, tape placement precision, temperature, and line speed in real time, ensuring consistent interlayer bonding and dimensional accuracy.

Q9: What is the energy consumption of the production line?
Please contact us for detailed power consumption specifications based on your intended output configuration. Typical power requirements can be provided with quotation.

Q10: Can the line be used for geothermal pipe production?
Absolutely. In fact, deep geothermal applications are one of the primary use cases for our RTP lines. The produced pipes are corrosion-resistant and can handle high-pressure and aggressive geothermal fluids.

Q11: How do the different reinforcement materials compare in performance?
Glass fiber tape offers excellent tensile strength at lower cost. Aramid belt provides superior impact resistance and flexibility. Polyester strip is cost-effective for medium pressure applications. Steel strip delivers the highest burst pressure for extreme high pressure needs.

Q12: Does the production line require specialized operator training?
Yes. We provide comprehensive operator training at our facility and/or on-site installation guidance. Training covers machine operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control procedures.
